We welcome families with military connections to attend our Remembrance Day Ceremonies on November 11. An age appropriate Kindergarten Ceremony will be held from 9 - 9:30 in Gym 1. The Grades 1 - 6 Ceremony will be held in Gym 2 from 9:50 - 10:30. Please note that our gym is almost at full capacity with our students and staff.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the poem 'In Flanders Fields' written by Canadian soldier John McCrae. The Vimy Foundation recently launched a campaign called 'In Flanders Fields 100', which aims to see 100,000 students recite the poem on Remembrance Day.
Our school is registered for this initiative and our students will be adding their voices to those of thousands of other students across Canada in honour of those famous words that were penned in May 1915.
